It was time to break out the chalk paint again……
It’s too hot outside to garden or read a good book
and, yes, it is still September!
So, I picked up a new color of Annie Sloan chalk paint called Country Grey.
I’ve had this little side table for a couple of years now.
Picked it up for $15 at a resale shop in Oregon and hauled it back to Texas. I love the shape and form and even though the pictures make the wood look very pretty, it didn’t look as nice in person!
The details are fabulous and I thought some dark wax would help to bring those out!
I think I was right.
Very easy…….
Two coats of Country Grey……
One layer of clear wax followed by a layer of dark wax.
A nice way to spend a 90 degree day inside!!!
Until next time…….

Hi Angela,
Good job, love your little table.I have a old buffet that iam going to paint, but having a hard time deciding what color i want maybe you can help.I posted a pic of it on fb.did you see it ?
So pretty! I haven’t tried that color yet, but I like it! I love the bench too. It looks like an antique and reminds me of a little church pew.
Love the table also love the bench!!!is is a piece of a church pew?
Thank you and yes, it is an old church pew that’s been in the family for years!
I love it! Bet it’s even more gorgeous in person. Picked up a little chest today at Thrift Store. Country Grey might be a good color for it. I’ll send you a picture.
That table has such gorgeous detail! What a deal! I’ve been meaning to pick up a sample of that color and haven’t made to the my town’s stockist yet.
What great detail!! Looks amazing and yeah I’d much rather be inside than out during heat as such. Hugs my friend!!
That little table looks so much better white. It really brightens the spot up. Great job xo Diana
Wow, that is still hot for Sept. We have cooled down to the upper 70’s. Who knows if it will stay though. Love the table! Cute style and great color. I picked up a little round one at a thrift the other day for $10. It will be getting a coat of chalk paint soon. I would love if you shared this with Share Your Cup.
hugs,
Jann

Angela, your little table is so pretty! It is a beautiful piece and now even prettier with the new coat of paint. I love that color!
That looks just great Angela! Paint does bring out architectural details so well. It really pops now!
