So, if you’re a regular reader, you know I’ve been struggling with my Spring mantel.
You can see my post on my first Spring mantel HERE, but in a nut shell, this is what I came up with….
After days of struggling with what would be perfect, I decided that was crazy and I came up with something that made me happy.
Perfect? Maybe not.
But sometimes I believe I spend too much time and energy creating the perfect mantel, vignette or “whatever”, and I promised myself I would keep things simple this year. So, here’s my final draft……
Just a couple of subtle changes, really……..
The flowers remained and a couple of birds and a nest were added.
The “bloom” signed was moved to the laundry room and I placed some moss orbs along with a couple of my white porcelain birds and a homemade birds nest….
……with a little “birdling” waiting to fly the coop!
Isn’t he a cutie??!!
And, there you have it!
Simple, yet springy!
Just what makes me happy this beautiful season!
I like it a lot, Angela! I think it looks lighter and brighter without the clock for Spring, too. Beautiful job-it makes me smile. xo Diana
Hi girl! I liked it with BLOOM but I actually like it better without. Love the combination of things you have up there. The feathers peeking out of the nest are sweet.
I like this one. I think all your birds are pretty. I use birds in decor too. I like to hear them sing. And I like to have them in glass around my home too. This mantel looks fresh like a spring day!!
Thank you so much! I love to hear the birds sing also, it lets me know Spring has arrived!~~Angela
Angela, you did a beautiful job! Loved it before and love it after! You are always such a great decorator and do a beautiful job with all your projects. I always struggle with my mantle. It kind of scares me a little….:)
