Do you remember when you were a kid and riding your very first tricycle?
Me either!!
But I bet it was a beauty and I’m sure I probably raced all over the house driving my mother crazy!
Sorry, Mom!!
When I stopped in at my nearest Goodwill a few days back, I found this little guy waving to me……
Well, he wasn’t actually waving…..I kinda caught a glimpse of him out of the corner of my eye and I slowly made my way over to check him out!
I didn’t want to look too excited for fear someone closer to him would notice him and grab him before me!!
It’s a Radio Flyer Red Tricycle!!!
Price…..$6.99!!!
He was in terrific shape…..the pedals were a little worn but you can tell he was loved and many a good ride was had on him!
Now, he was mine!!!
What was I going to do with him, you might ask? My kids are grown and I don’t have any grandbabies yet!
I had no idea!
But, I knew he would look cute decorated in the yard!
So, that’s what I did!
I had this space on my back breezeway that needed a little personality and I think my little trike makes for a great conversation piece!
I just picked up some terra-cotta pots from Lowes along with some plants I found on the 75% off rack! Have you seen that rack at your Lowes? It’s fabulous! All my plants cost me a total of $5!
They all needed a little pruning and some lovin but they’re doing great!
So, there ya go!
I think he’s priceless and will change his look with the seasons! Can’t you just see him with pumpkins or a little scarecrow sitting on him?!!
Can you tell I’ve got fall on the brain??!!
Hope you have a great week!
Until next time…..
I’ll be joining these lovely parties this week:
Inspire Me Tuesday @ A Stroll Thru Life
How fun is that??!! And the price was perfect!!
Oh…it’s so cute! Great find!
XO,
Jane
What a great find and you so creatively embellished it!…Looks so wonderful in your breezeway!! Love it Angela!
Awwww! What a cute little accessory! I love how you incorporated it with the pots! You are so smart, lady! Hope you’re having a great week!
~Abby =)
I do the same thing when I see something in a store that I want! lol There’s something about knowing someone wants something that makes it that much more appealing ;).
What a great find Angela! It’s absolutely adorable, and for now, I can see it changing with the seasons. But someday when you’re ‘Grandma’ it might have to go back to its original purpose, right?
Oh it’s a beauty! I have an old tricycle in my garden, but it’s not shiny and bright. Love it still! Looks right at home in your vignette. I always check out the clearance at Lowes. I’ve gotten some great deals there on plants.
hugs,
Jann
