Valentine Cookies

Valentine Cookies

What does one do when one’s daughter and herself are bored???!!!!

BAKE COOKIES!!! (of course)

:)

First, a couple of things you need to understand about me……

#1…. I’m not a big baker!  (too much preciseness for me).

#2….I want it done NOW!!  I don’t want to take all day to bake cookies! (refer to No. 1)!

Soooooooo,

….we used Pillsbury Sugar Cookie Dough!

…….and canned frosting!

……and my homemade pink sugar!

IT WAS A PIECE OF CAKE!!!!

I cut the roll of dough into equal portions….

Used my “mini” heart cookie cutter!

We rolled out the leftover dough and continued to cut out hearts until all the dough was gone (or in our mouth)!

We baked them according to the directions on the dough package!

Then the fun began……decorating them!

Now, we realize not all of them turned out to be a perfect heart but that’s the fun of it, right?! (You can eat all those first!)

As we were playing around with how to plate these culinary masterpieces, I dipped the spoon in the frosting and dusted it with my homemade colored sugar.

Doesn’t it look like a ROSE!

Perfect for Valentine’s Day!!

Love to All…….

How fun! I’m not much of a frosting girl, but I do think that spoonful looks like a rose!
