It all began with this blog.
I needed wanted an office of my own!
Hubby was willing to share his, but, truth be known….
…..I just want my own space!!
Enter the 2nd guest room!
I can’t give up the “guest room”! We have a big family and since we live so far from them, we tend to host large crowds!
I knew it could be both…..an office and a guest room!
Main ingredient for an office? a desk!!
So the hunt was on!
I scoured Craigslist and thrift stores for months looking for the perfect one (at the perfect price)!
I live for the hunt!!
Finally, I found her! $40 bucks later and she was mine!
Just what I wanted! Lots of tabletop space and solid wood. There’s really nothing wrong with her and I could have left her just as I found her.
But that’s no fun!
After practicing with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, I knew I wanted to paint her.
Yep, the bug bit me……….
Old Ochre for the legs along with a little distressing…….
…….French Linen for the top!
Followed by clear and dark wax………..
………I’m very happy with how it turned out!!
Now I’m busy accessorizing!
Lots more to show you so I better get busy!!
Until next time………..

Angela, you did a beautiful job with this desk! Great find, by the way! It is such a nice piece! I know what you mean about having your own space. Mine is in our library, but of course, I share with my husband. I have a second computer that is not in use and I am thinking of just putting it in my craft room. Just wanted to let you know also that your comments are back to being non-reply. I am sorry and I hate to tell you because I know this is a pain. It seems to be happening to a lot of people with the Google+. Let me know if I can help.
