Annie Sloan–my first attempt!

Annie Sloan–my first attempt!

I’ve read all over blog land how wonderful and marvelous Annie Sloan Chalk Paint is……

I had to try it for myself!

I only found one distributor in San Antonio, Texas!  Yes…….ONE……right in the middle of downtown!  Not an easy drive or stress free (maybe it’s just me since I’m a little out of my comfort zone just going beyond my Target which is 4 miles down the road!).

GEEZE!!!!

But, I put on my big girl panties and braved it!  (Please, no comments on your visual right now!) LOL!!

I found the gal and she was fabulous!  After a quick tutorial, I was out the door and everyone was happy!

I chose French Linen and Old Ochre along with clear and dark wax (which will be totally utilized in my office/guest room makeover yet to come!….aren’t ya’ll excited?)!

My first attempt was a small side table that’s moved from room to room and never really found her place (poor thing).

Yes, this little lady has seen better days!  Lately, she’s been in my bedroom as a coffee station table and has some water marks on her so she’s perfect!

I decided to just use the French Linen and paint the top and drawers followed by clear and dark wax.

I’m so pleased with how she turned out!  The paint is all it’s cracked up to be and I love it!

I was told once I started, I would want to paint everything in sight and it’s true!

Me and my big girl panties are ready to take on everything in the house! :)

I’ve been a painting fool, which you all will get to be a part of soon!

Until next time……….
